Oaks and Spokes is a local advocacy organization committed to advancing transportation options and transportation equity in Raleigh, North Carolina. Founded in 2012, and incorporated as a non-profit in 2016, the organization has further advanced goals for accelerating change in our community this year by hiring our first Executive Director to amplify programming. Our role in our community is to work collaboratively with program partners to highlight where additional work is needed to reach regional mobility goals and help impact that change locally.

Our mission is to provide comprehensive training for individuals learning to ride for fun and fitness, or competitively. We offer coursework to become mobility advocates or hold governmental positions. We sponsor practicums to careers in the industry such as the mechanics to build or repair bicycles. A variety of classes and seminars are offered on-site and also at private and public facilities. We focus on sports and health organizations but we also market to individuals and families. Sustainability and Climatic programs encourage car-free lifestyles and we agree.
