The ReCYCLEry

The ReCYCLEry NC is a 501(c)(3) non-profit whose mission is to encourage the use of bicycles for transportation and recreation. This mission is accomplished by: Refurbishing unused bicycles Teaching self-reliance through bicycle maintenance and repair Encouraging constructive community involvement Promoting bicycle safety.¬†Since 2000 the ReCYCLEry has been truly inclusive. Never exclusive. No membership charges. No cost for basic parts ever. All volunteer staff. Use your bike for recreation? As your means of transportation? The ReCYCLEry loves whatever reason you choose to RIDE YOUR BIKE. Pick one of our donated bikes and one of our volunteer mechanics will teach you bicycle repair. By learning you can earn a bicycle of your own. Already have a bike? Bring it and learn. We are open to all cyclists–beginner, expert, or in between, and also have DIY toolsets.¬†

Queer Ride Carrboro

Queer Ride Carrboro (est. 2018) is an inclusive cruiser-style bike ride and event space that is open to the LGBTQIA+ community in the triangle area to promote queer and cyclist visibility. We care deeply about social justice, mobility justice, queer community, and bicycles. We’re currently riding monthly on the full moon as part of our Full Moon Rainbow Ride series and sporadically at events and parades throughout the year (and whenever we feel like it just because).
